My Bible Bee Nationals Experience

If I were to describe BB Nationals in four words, I'd say: scripture-soaked, fellowship-filled. It was so refreshing to be around other young believers who not only love the Lord, but who treasure His Word.

A time of prayer

All the Senior division Nationalists. I'm the girl who's not following attire protocol, see if you can find me .  :)

Delie Moss, the Senior first place winner.

Yeah, that'd be my reaction too. :O

At the Celebration Ceremony. On the left is Emeal Zwane, the president of Living Waters and on the right is Robert Upton, the executive director of Bible Bee. (Sorry for the fuzzy pic.)

Dr. James Dobson spoke at the Celebration Ceremony.

Dinner was delish!

As was dessert!

Now this dessert was pretty awesome. See those little chocolate sprinkles? Yeah, well they're not sprinkles. When you suck on them, they pop and sizzle in you mouth. Cool!

Night outside our hotel room.

Had to stop and take a picture.

While there, we decided to make a quick trip to visit the Alamo.

This plaque was inscribed with a letter from Col. William B. Travis. I found the PS to be rather interesting.

The original property line.

This is what the Mexicans were pounding the fort with.

Wall adjacent to the Alamo.

Door entering into the Alamo. The plaque on the left says "Be silent friend. Here heroes died to blaze a trail for other men."

I love plane trips

Of all the verses I memorized for Bible Bee, my favorite is probably
Psalm 34:1-10.
"I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together. I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing."

P.S. Psalm 34:1-10 is *such* a beautiful verse. It has such depth of meaning. Simply wonderful.

    1. Aw, thanks!

I know, it is. I love how the psalmist is pouring out his heart in praise to the One who saved him. It's a great reminder to bless the Lord at all times.
